Where the smell of smoke was in the air
Such a cold night, but no one really seemed to care
As a red truck flew by and the sirens wailed
I knew right then and there
That Hint's barn was burning down.

So I walked down along that cracked brick street
Down to where the townsfolk had started to meet
They had circled the barn that had stood for some time
And were gathering the plot

That's when I saw her staring at the flames

Who was holding the match with all her strength
And as she turned to walk away
